RiDE - Reverse with Intuitive Deceleration Electronics
Introducing RiDE by Yamaha. The world's first dual throttle handlebar control system. RiDE is easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release the levers for neutral. Pull them both, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control. Operation is simple with no manual shifting, no gears and no complicated processes. Benefits include enhanced handling and smooth deceleration.
Lightweight NanoXcel® Hull and Deck
The longer FX range of hull and decks are constructed from Yamaha's unique NanoXcel® – which is around 25% lighter than a conventional material – so the FX HO offers extremely agile handling as well as optimum fuel efficiency. This latest-generation hull design also delivers more space and stability, with extra storage and even more ride comfort.

Features at Your Fingertips - Multifunction Information Centre
The specially designed meter provides a wide range of information in a clear, easy-to-read format. The tachometer keeps the rider informed about engine RPM, speed and gear selection, while fuel gauge and hour readouts keep track of the running time available. Electronic engine immobiliser (Security Mode) and low-RPM mode is controlled via the remote transmitter for the ultimate level of security and piece of mind.
Remote Transmitter
The remote transmitter serves two functions: Setting Low RPM Mode for increased fuel efficiency and activating Security Mode to prevent unauthorised startups.
Two-Piece Fastback Seat
