RiDE - Reverse with Intuitive Deceleration Electronics

Introducing RiDE by Yamaha. The world's first dual throttle handlebar control system. RiDE is easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release the levers for neutral. Pull them both, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control. Operation is simple with no manual shifting, no gears and no complicated processes. To compliment the innovative RiDE system, an electric trim switch is within easy reach of the rider's thumb. Benefits include enhanced handling and smooth deceleration.

High Output Marine Engine

4-cylinder, 4-stroke 1812cc High Output Yamaha Marine engine delivers the largest displacement of any PWC engine and most fuel-efficient in its class.

Cruise Assist & No Wake Mode

By setting a consistent engine speed, Cruise Assist reduces throttle fatigue – making towing and long tours more comfortable, while No Wake Mode™ caps the WaveRunner's speed, allowing for seamless navigation through slow-speed zones.

Remote Transmitter

To increase fuel efficiency, Low RPM Mode can be activated with the push of a button. The transmitter also offers added security by preventing unauthorised startups.

Features at Your Fingertips - Multifunction Information Centre

The specially designed meter provides a wide range of information in a clear, easy-to-read format. The tachometer keeps the rider informed about engine RPM, speed and gear selection, while fuel gauge and hour readouts keep track of the running time available. Electronic engine immobiliser (Security Mode) and low-RPM mode is controlled via the remote transmitter for the ultimate level of security and piece of mind.

Pull-Up Cleats

Pull-Up Cleats on the port and starboard sides of the WaveRunner allow for safe and convenient mooring along pontoons and other watercraft.

Open Looped Cooling System

All Yamaha WaveRunners utilise open loop cooling, which is used by 99% of marine manufacturers. Open loop systems have been proven to be the most effective, reliable and maintenance free solution for marine environments, which means less money and less time off the water.
