The introduction of the VXR heralds the reincarnation of the world's fastest naturally aspirated watercraft. Less weight and more power is the High Performance philosophy behind the all-new award-winning VXR.
The incorporation of a lightweight NanoXcel version of the VX hull has been combined with the extremely powerful 1,812cc High Output engine, more commonly found in Yamaha’s larger FX series. The result is a performance musclecraft that delivers class leading acceleration of 0-50kph in 1.8 seconds*. Combine the incredible acceleration, with impressive top speeds and agile handling, and it's no wonder the VXR is in leading the normally-aspirated performance class and winning championships worldwide. The VXR delivers all this while still being an affordable package, suitable for a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

Designed from the keel upwards to deliver a "New Type of High Performance", featuring a newly-redesigned race-performance inspired hull with edgy looks, electric trim technology and Yamaha's exclusive RiDE dual throttle control system. The sleek, ultra-lightweight and race-ready NanoXcel® hull is up to 25% lighter than the competition's hulls, which delivers racing level performance and razor sharp handling like no other craft on the water. Yamaha's RiDE dual throttle control system with electric time gives the rider an all-new level of precise control over the musclecraft and allows for precise control when docking.

RiDE - Reverse with Intuitive Deceleration Electronics*

Introducing RiDE by Yamaha. The world's first dual throttle handlebar control system. RiDE is easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release the levers for neutral. Pull them both, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control. Operation is simple with no manual shifting, no gears and no complicated processes. Benefits include enhanced handling and smooth deceleration. *Older Model Shown

High Output Marine Engine

4-cylinder, 4-stroke, 1812cc High Output Yamaha Marine engine delivers the largest displacement of any PWC engine and most fuel-efficient in its class.

All-New VX Hull & Deck

An all-new semi-V multi chine hull allows the VXR to offer the full package: neutral yet sharp handling, stability, and comfort. Its deeper keel allows the VXR to ride through the waves, whilst helping the VXR to maintain the perfect balance between grip and controllable sliding in turns. NanoXcel® for the Lightest Hull in its Class

The combination of an extremely lightweight hull and deck – constructed using NanoXcel® technology – helps achieve superb acceleration, top speed, agility and fuel efficiency. NanoXcel® creates an incredibly strong intermolecular bond and a smoother surface compared to conventional manufacturing methods. It's also 25% lighter.

Remote Transmitter

The remote transmitter serves two functions: Setting Low RPM Mode for increased fuel efficiency and activating Security Mode to prevent unauthorised start-ups.

Sport-Bolstered Seat

The all-new, race-inspired, sport-bolstered seat is ergonomically designed and contoured for added support during extreme riding conditions.

Reboarding Step

Designed for ultimate convenience, discretion and ease, the VXR's redesigned, re-boarding step makes getting out of the water and back on-board, both simple and easy. Constructed using non-slip materials it's the perfect choice for any watersports fan. You can not only experience the thrill of true sports riding, but also enjoy the VXR for waterskiing and wakeboarding – or as a swimming and snorkelling platform.

Larger Hydro-Turf Covered Swim Platform

Roomy and comfortable, the extended rear platform covered with Hydro-Turf non-slip materials, is the ideal place for soaking up the surroundings, getting in and out of the water, or gearing up for wakeboarding. Hydro-Turf is extensively used in the rider foot-wells.

Digital Dash*

Provides a quick read on RiDE position, speed, RPM, trim position, fuel level with low fuel warning, low oil pressure warning, hour/voltage meter and check engine light with self-diagnostic function. *Older Model Shown

Open Looped Cooling System

All Yamaha WaveRunners utilise open loop cooling, which is used by 99% of marine manufacturers. Open loop systems have been proven to be the most effective, reliable and maintenance free solution for marine environments, which means less money and less time off the water.

Tow Hook
